Use your social media skills to help tell the world about Ganet's Adventure School, Malawi!
Ganet's Adventure School, Malawi relies on supporters from around the world to keep it running. Social media is a crucial method of communicating school news, finding new supporters and involving our existing supporters. We have recently undertaken a digital review and brainstorming day run by Squared (funded by Google, the IPA and Hyper Island), and need your help to implement the tailored social media strategy developed on the day. You will use tools such as Hootsuite, Tweetdeck and analytics software to plan, send out posts in advance and monitor impact.
You will be responsible for managing our social media presence, programming in posts on Twitter and Facebook, responding to supporters, and collaborating with other volunteers who need to use social media to help publicise their projects (such as selling our Teacher's Brew Coffee and encouraging people to use Give As You Live). You will also be involved in researching which other platforms we should be on (such as Google+, Pinterest and Flickr) and developing new campaigns.
Ganet's Adventure School is an award-winning pre-school and primary school in Malawi. It receives no government funding, and relies on donations from around the world to keep it running. Ganet's Adventure School Fund is a small UK registered charity run entirely by volunteers. This means we are able to channel 90% of donations direct to the school in Malawi.
