Develop funding proposal and research donor for orphans education projects in eastern Kenya Baraka technical college-orphans center TASK The volunteers are needed to assist in the following: 1.Do online research for potential donors that support and/or fund restoration of livelihoods, education, and rehabilitation of HIV/AIDS orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya. . 2. Write fundable proposals on restoration of livelihoods, education, and rehabilitation of HIV/AIDS orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya. . The generated potential donors list and contacts, developed fundable proposals, to be sent to Baraka technical college for official submission to donors and fundraisers with our organization's headed letter and other supporting information. Number of volunteers: 6 BACKGROUND INFORMATION Baraka technical college-orphans center mission is to fight poverty, give real hope to as many needy youth and children as possible, and to aid them in overcome the burdens of poverty to become healthy, educated, self-sustaining and contributors to the community COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT This center is manege by a board and network with community groups,churches,and government agencies to select the children from the most needy and vulnerable families Our main activities include rescuing the abandoned and neglected orphaned children, provide for their basic needs food, medication, education and shelter.Recruiting orphans and most needy youth in eastern Kenya train them in vocational skills courses for two years geared them to self reliance. OBJECTIVE The aim is establish a sustainable resource base to enable the organization support a number of programmes/projects started by the organization. It is our hope through this mechanism to benefit from the services of volunteers in identifying potential donors/ fundraisers and partners to our different projects and programs. REQUIREMENT minimum of 10 years of functionally related professional and comparative experience in online researching for potential donors is required; 2.Must have a proven track record in successful resource mobilization for various organizations. 3.The volunteer should have practical experience undertaking online research and formulation of fundable proposals.
