Neighborhood Bike Works is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to offer educational, recreational, and career-building opportunities to underserved youth through bicycling. We also promote cycling as a healthy, affordable, environment-friendly form of transportation. We operate two community bike shops in Philadelphia and serve hundreds of youth each year in our free and low-cost out of school time programs. Our goal is to instill confidence, inspire a sense of adventure, and build skills for future success, using bikes as the hook to engage and empower young people.
