Volunteer Opportunity description

The ID Identifying Discourse Inc. team is searching for a tech savvy Marketing Volunteer. Our team is working very hard to connect with national and international non-profits. NGO's and other community organizations.

Our mission is to promote wholesome intercultural discourse and connect with both national, and international communities of need (poverty, risk for high crime, disaster) with high social barriers to access education, and address their lack of learning resources. We further assist by utilizing harm reducing strategies by collaborating with our international donee community organizations by developing effective library and archival systems for their schools. Our focus is assisting these communities achieve universal primary education by having resources available. As the English language is developing greatly as a critical language for business and for intercultural exchange, while being offered often as a foreign language option in schools abroad, we aim to assist small rural language schools in Morocco (and other developing nations) with gathering a sufficient supply of educational resources in English, Spanish, French (and other languages.) According to the English First English Proficiency Index,(www.ef.com/epi) Morocco is the leading Arab nation with the highest English language proficiency amongst North African and Arab nations.

Marketing Volunteering/Online Research Assistant

  • This position reports directly to the Supervisor of Interns and Volunteers, and also to the Executive Director
  • Implement the highest standards of communication between ID Identifying Discourse Inc. management team and other volunteers
  • Requires competent computer program skills ( Microsoft Word, Excel, Skype and excellent internet connectivity capacity)
  • Responsible for assisting with creating and managing a database of national and international humanitarian organizations focused on education and social justice, including concerns of indigenous community members and urban communities
  • Requires effective communication and management of email communications between ID Identifying Discourse Inc. representatives and our national and international cultural collaborators
  • Participate in intermittent phone interviewing and fundraising activities
  • Maintain a weekly log of communications,and details about project progress
  • Additional administrative tasks which are manageable via phone conference and online communication (to be determined)
