Volunteer Opportunity description

Livnot U'Lehibanot (Hebrew for "To Build and Be Built") has been providing Israel programs for young Jewish adults and enhancing Israel and Diaspora communities for 32 years with over 6,000 alumni and 24,000 volunteers. Livnot offers an integrated Israel experience of volunteering, hiking, and community building that allowsparticipants to explore themselves and connections to their Jewish roots.

Short-term programs (1-4 weeks) are offered throughout the year, based in the Old City of Tzfat. Livnot's 500 year-old campus is located in the heart of the mystical city's Artists' Colony, with breathtaking views of the surrounding Galilee hills.

Programs are generously subsidized from $100/week including housing, two meals per day, hiking trips and activities. Each program creates a community of young Jewish adults who volunteer, learn, trek, ask questions, engage local residents and experience Israel differently. The sense of community created by the Livnot program carries over to all the activities.

Livnot programs also make a great Birthright extension or return visit to Israel. Individuals and groups are welcome to apply and special programs can be customized for Alternative Spring Break or Winter Break group trips.
