Volunteer Opportunity description

We welcome eco-volunteers wishing to help in marine research onboard of our sailing catamaran in the Mergui Archipelago of Myanmar.

Participants will assist scientist or the coordinator in data collection on biodiversity and the ecology of the site. They will also contribute in the overall running of the expedition like boat maintenace, beach cleaning, cooking,etc.

Scientific activities: coral mapping by manta tow, reefcheck, birdwatching, collecting data with gps during exploration walks in the forest or on the shores, cayaking, snorkelling, data entry, species recognition, seagrass meadows mapping, visiting local communities and help in questionnaries, ...

Long term volunteering possible for specific tasks.
