Volunteer opportunity

Each WorldTeach volunteer in Tanzania will be paired with a recent graduate from a Tanzanian Teachers' College. The WorldTeach and Tanzanian volunteers will have the same role - to work together with two local teachers from the district to teach 5 hours per day, 5 days a week. Lesson planning and preparation, teaching in the classroom and student assessment will be equally shared between this collaborative teaching team.
Volunteers will live in school-provided houses.Volunteers assigned to teach English as a Second or Foreign Language in Namibia will be eligible to receive WorldTeach TEFL certification. click here for more info!
Volunteers depart in early June 2014 for orientation and they must commit to 6 months of volunteering. Applications are accepted on a rolling admissions basis until April 1st, 2014.
The volunteer commitment, subsidized by PanAfrican Energy Ltd., covers roundtrip airfare, health and evacuation insurance, housing, and monthly stipend to cover basic living expenses. The semester program requires volunteers to be between the ages of 21 and 74 by the departure date, hold a Bachelor's degree, and demonstrate a desire to teach.Volunteers need not be a US citizen, but must be a native English speaker.
