Position Start/End Dates: 7/16/2013 - 7/19/2014

Salary/Wage: $946/month

Work Schedule: Full time, 40 hours/week

Cornerstone Assistance Network wants to place an AmeriCorps*VISTA member at its Medical Clinic.

At the Medical Clinic, you will develop/improve upon a community awareness program, present it to organizations and professional groups, research and obtain funding through grant submissions as well as other fund raising activities, and help conduct a comprehensive community survey.

The VISTA must have the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment in a medical setting, and have basic knowledge that can be expanded to expert level in research and grant submission.

The VISTA must also be comfortable in a public speaking setting where he/she will present the features and benefits of a growing community clinic that is in need of professional and lay volunteers. This person should be creative in designing fundraising events that not only brings resources to the clinic but adds additional value of the clinic in the community.

The VISTA should be personable and have willingness, after gaining additional experience, to identify needs of the clinic and refine the community program to fit those needs. This person will be an integral part of a team that has a passion for serving the needs of the community in order to improve their medical health. non-profit professionals and to meet others at partner organizations.

Minimum Age Requirement: 18 years

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's degree
