Seeking Member of Board of Directors
with international fundraising experience
This is a wonderful opportunity for an individual who is passionate about Uhambo's mission and who has a track record of board leadership and international fundraising. Candidate will lead and guide the fundraising strategies to generate funding from domestic and international grant-making institutions and individuals.
Selected Board Member will have familiarity with international development, social entrepreneurship, philanthropy, public health and/or the nonprofit sector preferably on an international level. Service on Uhambo's Board of Directors is without remuneration.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in fundraising
- Knowledge of multilateral donor agencies
- Knowledge of grant writing process for funders of international NGOs
- A relevant network in the area of international development or related fields and willingness to connect Uhambo with key players
- A commitment to and understanding of (or willingness to gain an understanding of) Uhambo's beneficiaries in Africa
- Savvy diplomatic skills and a natural affinity for cultivating relationships with potential donors and partners
- Collaborative leadership style. Member will work closely with Executive Director and other team members.
