Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Implement the marketing and communication strategies for EGBOK's training café Spoons, which includes:
  • Managing social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and update website as needed
  • Advertising in local media and giving exposure through public relations
  • Create, recommend and market promotional initiatives
  • Create the Spoons insert for the current EGBOK brochure
  • Help plan and execute the grand opening event for the Café
  • Create new Café and EGBOK merchandise and get production sourced
  • Establish a network of travel industry partners

Specific Qualifications

  • Fluent in English
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge and experience with social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
  • Previous experience in marketing preferred
  • Knowledge of restaurant business preferred
  • Experience working in multi-cultural environments

Contract:

We ask for a 3 months commitment from foreign volunteers. It can often take time to adjust to life in Cambodia and we want to ensure your time here is both meaningful and mutually beneficial.

Benefits:

This is an unpaid position in Cambodia. EGBOK will assist with the process of obtaining a visa to live and work in Cambodia for EGBOK. There is no fee to volunteer with EBGOK. We recognize the value in people offering us their time, knowledge and resources and do not see charging volunteers as a sustainable part of funding the organization.

Housing:

EGBOK does not provide staff housing, but we can assist you with the process of finding accommodations within your budget. EGBOK is centrally located in Siem Reap city with many housing options.
