Teaching English at Buddhist temples are fun and learn. Teaching basic level of English is fun and observing the way of life is a fun. Basically monks are learning as a major subject Buddhism but to improve their additional knowledge they are taught Math, Science, Tibetan and English. Volunteer assist local teacher in teaching English for two to four hours a day and sometimes teach children independently too. Depend on volunteer interest and specialty they can teach basic level of children who are 6 years to 10 years old to advance level of big monks.

In additional time volunteer may take a part in learning Tibetan, meditation, Yoga and philosophy classes with elder monk but these opportunities are available in some monasteries. If you are interested in helping physically then there are lots of works in garden like watering, pruning plants.
