We are seeking a filmmaker to come with us to Haiti to help us shoot our Kickstarter video!
Our COO will be travelling to Haiti the week of the 28th of April - 5th of May, and ideally we are looking for someone who can join her in Haiti for the whole week or at least 2-3 days to shoot.
Our main goal while we are there will be to film our kickstarter video for Library For All. We need a moving, uplifting film that respects the subjects, whilst bringing the viewer into their world and blowing them away in about 2 minutes. Aside from this we will capture a whole load of other B roll and film some other stories that we can use to produce more short films and content throughout our 45 day kickstarter campaign.
This is guaranteed to be a trip of a lifetime for the filmmaker who joins us. We will be shooting at our pilot school of Respire, where 70% of the children are former restaveks (child slaves). It is a magical place full of increibly hard-working local teachers and administrators. The film that you produce will be featured on the front page of our kickstarter campaign, and will be a key element in helping us raise $100,000 to launch Library For All at Respire school this Fall!
If you have your own equipment that will be ideal. If not, we will try and source them. This is a pro bono opportunity.
