About the Microfinance Working CEO Working Group:

The Microfinance CEO Working Group is a collaborative effort by the CEOs of ten leading global microfinance organizations whose impact is felt in 86 countries on five continents, and whose products and services are designed to offer support and opportunity to millions of low-income people around the world. Its members include Accion, BRAC, CARE USA's Access Africa, FINCA, Freedom from Hunger, Grameen Foundation, Opportunity International, Pro Mujer, VisionFund International, and Women's World Banking. Since 2011, the Working Group has worked to support the positive evolution of the microfinance industry. The Working Group is committed to ensuring that the microfinance industry reaches its full potential by advocating for, and implementing, responsible business practices that keep clients at the forefront. Its agenda is both industry-facing, working with participants in microfinance, and outward-facing, addressing the broader community, especially those who support, influence and set the environment for the industry. The Center for Financial Inclusion at Accion presently houses the secretariat for the Microfinance CEO Working Group.
