Volunteer Opportunity description

JASA seeks a volunteer to lead a monthly exercise class for seniors at a location in East Harlem. You will devise an exercise program that is appropriate for older adults while providing needed physical activity. Exercise becomes even more important as we get older, and you will be providing a valuable service in providing a regular opportunity to move.

The Jewish Association Serving the Aging (JASA), founded in 1968 by the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies, provides a full range of services for the elderly and their families -- from the most able and independent to the most frail and vulnerable, to enable the elderly to live independent lives in their own homes and communities. Services are provided throughout New York City and in Nassau and Suffolk counties.
