Volunteer Opportunity description

Every Tuesday evening, Starlight brings a spaghetti dinner for the families of pediatric patients to provide a worry-free, cost-free meal so parents won't have to leave their child to go figure out where to get and how to pay for dinner for the evening.

Are you available on Tuesday afternoons at 3:30pm to pick up large disposable containers of spaghetti, sauce, rolls, salad, cookies and beverages at Guest Services (701 D St SW Washington, DC) and then take them to Georgetown Pediatrics (3800 Reservoir Rd NW Washington, DC)? You won't need to park at Georgetown. A Child Life Specialist will meet you at your car with a cart to take the food inside.

This is a great opportunity for student groups or community/church groups, as well as individuals with some flexibility with Tuesday afternoons.

How to apply

If you have a vehicle and flexibility/availability on Tuesday afternoons each month, please contact Rebecca at rebecca@starlight-midatlantic.org You must have proof of your car insurance, driver's license and pass a national criminal background check.
