WMC provides basic medical care, and a sophisticated gateway to specialty services through referrals and partnership with the communities' largest medical institutions.

We are looking for MD and DO to provide patient vistits for WMC Urgent Care Clinic. At each clinic, you will work with a team of volunteers who happily contribute a variety of skills: interpretation, reception, nursing, medical assisting, referrals, data entry, and those who even prepare meals to energize volunteers before evening clinics.

Scope of Responsibilities:

1. See uninsured patients, make assessment and follow up order procedures.
2. Make a treatment plan
3. Supervise 3^rd and 4^th year OHSU medical students, and 1st Year OHSU PA students
4. Document in patients charts (Sign off on all Student and Resident Charting)
5. Prescribe medication
6. Order CLIA waived lab tests
7. Work with clinic coordinator to coordinate patient referrals and follow-up care
8. Work within scope of licensure

Qualifications Sought:

Active Oregon MD/DO license in good standing

Flexibilty

Reliability

Good sense of humor

Sensitivity towards people of other cultural and socio-economic groups

Desire to help the uninsured

Volunteer Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, 7-10 pm
