Summary
We are currently seeking a front-end website developer to help us design our website. This is a volunteer position. Candidates should be highly proficient with HTML, PHP, CSS, social media integration, etc.
Candidate will redesign one website in entirety and maintain as webmaster after redesign is complete. While the website is being redesigned, candidate would maintain current website as needed.
Maintenance Responsibilities:
- Publish written content provided by team
- Create and integrate graphics for website with the team
- Create forms for events and donation pages
- Create a dynamic, user-friendly website to improve user-experience
- Analyze traffic data and provide monthly reports
- Monitor and troubleshoot web server issues when they arise
Required skills:
- BS or demonstrated Web design expertise
- Expert knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Experience with architectural input on the layout of content and style.
- Experience with CMS or framework such as Rails or Django
- Familiarity with MySQL
- Demonstrated eye for detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly degree of self-organization
- Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities without diminished effectiveness
This organization is volunteer-based and the position is uncompensated. However, based on performance, individuals will have the opportunity to travel internationally and work to start up social ventures through VPI. Minimum of 5 hours weekly commitment
