Sewing Machine Coordinator

Description

Overview of position: Assess sewing machines and redistribute sewing machines to United Nations Refugees.

Specific Tasks:

  1. Coordinate the maintenance of sewing machines used by United Nations Refugees
  2. Evaluate functionality of sewing machines
  3. Coordinate the repair of donated machines
  4. Drop off and pick up of machines that need repair
  5. Coordinate payment of sewing machine repair
  6. Distribute needed parts of sewing machines to UN Refugees
  7. Sell sewing machines on EBAY

Time Required: 10 hours per month, must be able to work weekdays

Qualifications: Must have own vehicle

Physical/Age Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects

Skills/Education: Working knowledge of electrical sewing machines ranging from older machines from 70-newmachines, basic computer skills.

Experience: Some managerial or coordination experience preferred

Training Required: On-site Iskashitaa training, Refugee 101 and volunteer application
