Volunteer Opportunity description

Jewish Family Service of San Diego (JFS) is a social service agency with over 50 programs helping people regardless of religion.

Mentoring is one of the most meaningful ways you can volunteer, significantly impacting the life of a young person. No special skills are needed, just the willingness to care and spend time with someone who needs you. While there are a few programs that are specifically geared towards the Jewish population, Jewish BIGPals is one of these programs.

At least two days per month you will meet with a child in a one-on-one setting and participate in constructive, esteem-building activities with the child. Volunteers should be 19 years of age or older and show stability in their personal life, as well as work history. Volunteers must be reliable, responsible, flexible, patient, and non-judgmental.

You can learn more about the program, as well as view upcoming Info Sessions, online at http://www.jfssd.org/site/PageServer?pagename=programs_connect_BIGPals#events
