Volunteer Opportunity description

Khadarlis is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to working with communities, children and families to alleviate poverty and social inequality worldwide. Our organization works through strategic partnerships and applies advocacy, catalytic assistance, innovation, participatory and right-based approaches to development work.

We are seeking volunteer grant writers, both novice and experienced, to help us realize and sustain our organization's mission. To motivate and equip our grant writing volunteers, we will provide a free grant writing seminar led by a local college Professor. She has a wide breadth of knowledge in nonprofit development and is willing to share her experiences with you.

This position requires a commitment of time and, of course, grant writing! You will be required to identify grant opportunities that align with Khadarlis' mission, conduct the necessary research and write the grant in accordance with the grant-making organization's guidelines. We will be there to assist you along the way and help you develop the skills necessary to accomplish your goal.

This is a wonderful opportunity to build your skill set, garner nonprofit experience and serve the community.

Interested parties can apply at: http://khadarlis.org/volunteer/volunteer-registration-form

On the application, please list your experience; tell us why you are interested in this position; and how our organization's mission speaks to you.
