With 10 Books A Home, you'll have the opportunity to change a child's life by preparing them for kindergarten. After submitting an online application and passing a thorough background check, we'll pair you with a 3- to 4-year old that lives in either East Palo Alto or East Menlo Park. Then, every week you'll give your learner a personalized lesson by teaching them need-to-know kindergarten skills. Additionally, you'll role model these skills for your learner's parent, who will be sitting in on the lesson with their child every week.
No educational experience? Don't fret! We offer trainings before you ever enter a home to ensure you're confident and prepared! And, we regularly host Role Model events to give you an opportunity to meet other Role Models and trade Role Modeling tips and strategies.
100 children are on our waiting list and our mission is to prevent these children from falling behind by making sure they start kindergarten ready to learn and with parents who are engaged in their children's educational experiences.
