Hurricane Sandy Volunteer Opportunities

Posted on: April 26, 2013

Posted by: Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty

Description

Met Council is one of New York's largest human services agencies, providing 100,000 New Yorkers with critical services in their fight against poverty every year.

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities related to disaster recovery in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Please see metcouncilvolunteer.blogspot.com for our current needs. We welcome volunteers of all ages and have projects suitable for both individuals and groups.

Sites are located in various affected communities throughout Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island.

How to apply

Because volunteer opportunities related to Hurricane Sandy change very quickly, please email metcouncilvolunteer@gmail.com if you are interested. Include your name, phone number, availability, and volunteer interests (e.g. seniors, food access, children, community clean up, etc). Groups may fill out our group volunteer form.
