About the Role:

The Coach Support Specialist (CSS) is a core part of the MindRight team and service delivery model. The CSS monitors and provides support and guidance to Coaches as they provide nonclinical coaching to members during their evening coaching sessions (between 5-9pm ET). The CSS will step-in when they have assessed the need to do so and will provide direct support to MindRight members over our web application during escalated or crisis situations to ensure the safety and welfare of the member. CSSs help ensure quality of coaching to our members, provide crisis intervention and stabilization, and case consultation as needed. The CSS collaborates with Coaches, MSW interns, leadership team, other CSSs, and participates in CSS team meetings with the VP of Member Care.

Duties and responsibilities

Complete required onboarding and training and participate in team communications

  • Clear background check
  • Complete MindRight Health CSS Training 
  • Participate in CSS check-ins 
  • Respond to MindRight Health communications outside of shifts for updates

Provide Guidance and Support to Coaches in real-time

  • Stay up to date on member profiles, including member areas of support, risk alerts, support strategies, and member progress on goals
  • Aggressively monitor chats between Coaches and members as they unfold 
  • Proactively support coaches by reviewing, assessing, and providing feedback on conversations 
  • Respond to questions and requests for support from Coaches and Senior Management 
  • Ensure that shifts end on time and that the recommendations, and notes sections are updated accordingly to ensure continuity of care for members
  • Provide crisis de-escalation and stabilization in real-time to members as needed, drawing from best practices. May involve phone/voice calls with the member and/or VP of Member Care, the member’s emergency contact,partner, school, healthcare plan, and/or other service providers the member is already seeing (not using your personal phone number).
  • Bring concerns about coaches or coaching practices to the VP of Member Care
  • Commit to working at least one weekend shift

Requirements

  • Washington D.C. licensure: Masters of Social Work and License - LCISW
  • 5+ years field or work experience supporting members in historically marginalized communities
  • Preference for credentialed provider with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield or willingness to obtain credential upon hiring

Working remotely

CSSs will work remotely in evenings via our MindRight Health web application and other web communications tools (Gmail, Slack, etc.). Minimum 8 hours a week (four 2-hour shifts per week including one weekend shift). Hours are between 5-9pm ET Mon-Sunday.

Compensation

The CSS role is an independent contractor role, paid hourly at $30 per hour.

Salary

This is a contract position paid at $30/hr
