Energy Efficiency Analyst

We are currently seeking someone with previous sales experience, with preference to candidates who have experience in energy efficiency sales and/or familiarity with the ComEd Energy Efficiency Program.


Job Overview:

An Energy Efficiency Analyst is responsible for helping organizations find, implement and maintain energy efficient solutions. This role will be expected to identify ‘blue-chip’ clients, form partnerships, conduct audits, complete energy savings calculations and sell solutions for energy efficiency improvements. To ensure success, they will need to multitask effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment without compromising on details.

Performance Expectations <90 days: 

Prospect, Connect, Pre-Qualify

  • Understand key client profiles
  • Identify ideal clients and decision makers
  • Reach out cold to prospective clients
  • Determine if the prospect’s high-level pain, gains, goals align with Verde’s products and services

Performance Expectations >90 days:

Assessments, Proposals, Sales

  • Be able to identify opportunities for efficiency savings and propose appropriate solutions
  • Create scopes of work and proposals for assessments performed
  • Present proposals to clients, independently handling negotiations and follow up meetings
  • Begin contributing sales to Verde

Required Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in B2B sales
  • Able to get to various business locations in Illinois, outside of normal public transportation routes
  • Ability to develop, cultivate, and maintain a network of customers and business relationships; proven experience in signed contract execution
  • Experience managing sales cycles in excess of (12) months
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Passion and enthusiasm for environmental sustainability

Salary

USD 48,360 - USD 100,000Base salary is $48,360 with a generous commission plan based on gross margin results
