Job description

As the Partnership Manager, you will be working with the core WV team to maintain our current partnerships and help to generate new partnerships. You will frequently be traveling extensively throughout Asia meeting with new and current partner schools. Also included in this role is finding and developing new leads and reaching out to new prospective partners. You should have strong interpersonal and communication skills as you’ll be representing World Volunteer to various stakeholders. Passion is a key trait as the WV team firmly believe in its mission and the work we do. In addition to managing and building partner relationships, you will also be required to play a role in our community development and local efforts. All WV staff are expected to lead several groups throughout the year to fully understand the projects and student experience.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Support all WV team members
• Continual partner communication/engagement
• Organize and maintain current and new partner database (CRM)
• Represent WV to existing and new partner schools
• Lead research
• Work closely with operations manager to pass over new account details
• Assist with flight quotations and bookings
• Network at various events across Asia
• Plan and execute outreach trips throughout East Asia
• Present WV projects to students and school administrations

Essential Qualifications/Experience

• Past outreach, marketing, or sales experience
• Fluent in English
• Experience in building new relationships
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
• Based or ability to relocate to East Asia (Chiang Mai or Kuala Lumpur ideal)
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience in managing a portfolio of partnerships
• Strong computer skills
• Good team player but can also work/travel independently
• Ability to lead by doing
• Good problem solver
• A "can do" attitude
• Passion for travel and education
• Excellent leadership skills

Desired Qualifications/Experience

• Past experience with NGO or student travel organizations
• Experience working with International schools
• Management experience
• Master’s Degree in relevant fields
• Experience with CRM
• Experience working in multiple environments: rural or urban
• Laos or Thai language skills
• First aid certifications
