    Reports To: OPERATIONS & FINANCE MANAGER

    Supervises: This position does not supervise staff.

    Salary: $51,510.00/year

    Purpose of Position: The SEIU-NFFWU Regional Office Manager will organize and coordinate office administration and procedures, in order to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency and safety. The Office Manager is responsible for developing communication protocols among the regional staff, and assisting staff in a variety of administrative tasks. The Regional Office Manager will handle a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and is able to work independently with little or no supervision. This is a bargaining unit position.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:      

    • Proven office management, administrative or assistant experience.
    • Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems and procedures.
    • Proficiency in the use of PC and or Laptop.
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft and Google products
    • Should be an independent, detail-oriented, creative thinker  
    • Effective communicator, strong verbal and written communication skill  
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.   
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong organizational and planning skills.
    • Ability to follow through on projects independently.
    • Ability to work well under stress.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with members, staff & regional leadership.
    • Ability to juggle and prioritize many conflicting demands.
    • Union experience and/or commitment to the principals of the trade union movement. 
    • Bilingual Spanish a plus

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    The position is based in Durham, NC.  Work is generally performed from an office setting or other location to complete the required assignments of the position. Long and extended hours and a minimal amount of overnight travel may be required.
