Our firm

Tapestry Networks works closely with hundreds of executives and non-executive directors from the world’s largest companies to help them become more effective in their roles. We do this by convening peer learning forums—network meetings—where they learn from one another, explore new ideas, and collaborate to solve problems. We also publish thought leadership based upon our independent research and the insights drawn from these network meetings. Most of our work is funded by third-party sponsors who seek to drive progress in their sectors, to enhance trust in the capital markets, and to advance the state of leadership.

The role

This is an entry-level role focused on research, writing, and project management. Associates are vital to the success of a Tapestry network driving both the content and logistics of network delivery as fully integrated members of our team. The ideal Associate is comfortable being out in the world and engaging with directors, executives, and regulators. Responsibilities include:

Research

  • Conduct primary and secondary research on emerging topics that are relevant to network participants.
  • Join in calls with directors, regulators, and executives, as well as network meetings, taking detailed and well-organized notes; use these to summarize and communicate key points, takeaways, and implications.

Writing

  • Write first drafts of network-related content and other published thought-leadership materials
  • Correspond with directors, regulators, and executives in a professional manner

Project management

  • Understand each team’s required tasks and deadlines; execute the tasks in a timely manner; and know when to ask for help
  • Manage content production schedules, network activity timelines, and larger projects and assignments
  • Work with partners, principals, and colleagues to build Tapestry's relationships and maintain the firm’s standing in the eyes of sponsors and network members

Candidate Profile

A successful Tapestry Associate combines the ability to work closely with team members to achieve our shared objectives and to work independently to deliver strong work product.

Key competencies include:

  • Superior writing skills, with attention to detail and timely follow-through
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn new issues quickly
  • Outstanding organizational skills, including a track record of prioritizing workload effectively across multiple projects, under tight deadline
  • The ability to interact with non-executive directors, executives, and regulators with confidence
  • Open to feedback and learning; open to providing feedback and teaching others
  • Ethical, confident, creative, and positive attitude

Desired background and qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in business, law, public policy or other relevant field
  • A strong understanding of business principles, including the role of the board of directors
