    Description

    Description

We are hiring 5 people for this role and are open to strong candidates in any major city anywhere in the country. Top priority cities are Chicago, San Diego, Los Angeles, Denver, Austin, and San Jose/Bay Area.

About the Program: Movement Labs is launching 'Beers & Ballots,' an innovative program designed to leverage blue-city/-state volunteers for swing-state voter impact.

Beers & Ballots organizers and volunteers go to bars showing football games for swing state teams (or, in swing states, any bars), then buy patrons a drink who help mobilize their swing state friends to vote.

About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic, scrappy, dedicated, and goal-oriented Field Organizer to lead Beers & Ballots in their respective city.

    Requirements

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Get permission to run Beers & Ballots program at local bars.
    • Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers for game days.
    • Sign up bar patrons yourself (you will be responsible for around 25% of your signup goals).
    • Track and accurately report on data.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • At least one year or one cycle experience in community organizing, outreach, or electoral campaigns.
    • Ideally, experience with street or door canvassing, and certainly no hesitations about approaching strangers!
    • Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for relationship-building.
    • Strong leadership skills.
    • Recruitment and training experience.
    • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
    • Passionate about community engagement for social change.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work independently.
    • Familiarity with local city.

    Benefits

This is a temporary position through November 15.

Salary: $60,000/year, with possibility of performance bonuses for exceeding signup goals.

Movement Labs employees receive excellent health, dental, and vision benefits, 401k, and work-life-balance stipends.
