ABOUT AIDKIT

AidKit is the tech engine that non-profits and governments trust to administer cash assistance programs. We replace convoluted workflows of glued together CRM’s, spreadsheets, surveys, forms, bank portals, and human tedium with one unified platform to allow organizations to operate more efficiently and get money directly into the hands of people who need it most.

AidKit grew out of a need to distribute over $38 million in funds that we raised to support undocumented workers in Colorado during the early days of the coronavirus pandemic. We built efficient, scalable systems to manage the program and distribute funds with equity and dignity and then transitioned into helping other organizations and government entities launch similarly successful programs. As of April 2023, we’ve helped our partners distribute over $130 million to over 65,000 individuals and families. We are supporting some of the largest Guaranteed Basic Income programs in the United States and providing technology for innovative aid programs in the childcare and unemployment assistance spaces.

“I lost my job due to COVID and couldn’t get unemployment. I didn’t ever think I would be able to receive this kind of help. Receiving this grant made me feel seen, that I mattered. That finally, for the first time, I was recognized in this country.” - Left Behind Workers Fund grantee

Our philanthropic roots have grown into a social impact startup and we now support some of the nations largest direct cash programs. We are fully bootstrapped, meaning we have not accepted any outside investment or venture capital, because maintaining control of our mission is our top priority. We specialize in helping our partners serve a wide variety of hard to reach populations, including:

  • Undocumented individuals
  • Unhoused individuals
  • Child Care Providers
  • Refugees
  • Low income families

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will be an important member of the leadership team and integral to AidKit’s growth. You will work directly with our CEO and co-founders to set and achieve strategic business objectives. Primary Responsibilities include:

Partnerships:

  • Identify and establish strong, mutually-beneficial business relationships with government and social sector partners.
  • Research government stakeholders and prospects to identify new opportunities to support government partners with technology for more accessible, dignified aid programs.
  • Nurture lasting relationships with partners to maximize social impact and the adoption of effective anti-poverty interventions by local, state and federal government partners.

Sales:

  • Own the sales process from prospecting to negotiation and contracting.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest product updates and enhancements, ensuring accurate and comprehensive knowledge for delivering effective demonstrations.
  • Optimize contracting processes with cross-functional feedback.
  • Respond to relevant RFPs, draft and submit proposals.
  • Refine AidKit's pricing models, develop partner quotes and proposals for clients.

Marketing:

  • Lead the Marketing function, primarily by managing AidKit's PR and marketing agency relationship and oversee the implementation of campaigns.
  • Represent AidKit at conferences, meetings, and industry events, including engaging in speaking opportunities.
  • Ensure that AidKit is an active participant in relevant industry groups, coalitions, and communities of practice.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the pain points in aid delivery and clearly articulate AidKit's capability to address them.

Market Research:

  • Conduct market research to identify new, highly aligned opportunities.
  • As a result of market understanding, provide necessary direction for product development.

ABOUT YOU:

  • You thrive when doing purpose-driven work and can demonstrate mission alignment.
  • You solve problems and make connections, seeking leveraged solutions.
  • You are experienced in sales, partnerships, grant writing, development, or related functions.
  • You are skilled in articulating value and identifying authentic win-win situations.
  • You are familiar with the dynamics and challenges of working with government agencies and navigating their procurement processes (from the perspective of a vendor, nonprofit contractor, procurement official, or other relevant vantage point).
  • Ready to work in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
  • Self-directed with a strong attention to detail and comfortable in a remote work environment.
  • Ideally, you have government sector knowledge and insights including understanding of government benefits programs, policies, and regulations.
  • Ideally, you have experience identifying new market opportunities, crafting compelling value propositions, and closing deals. Bonus if you have this experience with government clients or large enterprise customers.
  • We don’t require an explicit number of years of experience, we care more about the skills you exhibit and a growth mindset.

We encourage candidates from all backgrounds, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, or any other dimension of diversity, to apply. We understand that diversity goes beyond checkboxes and that true innovation thrives when a variety of voices and ideas come together. You don't need to meet every criteria listed to apply.
