Business Development/Marketing Intern:
Philantropia Inc. seeks a highly motivated intern interested in on-line marketing and sales, lean start-up business planning, international development and NGOs, and philanthropy. This position requires research experience and social media fluency.
Interns must be willing to complete a portion of their assignment from the New York City office with some work possible remotely.
The proposed internship includes, but is not limited to: Support development of business/marketing strategies for on-line products under development. Research and compile market analysis. Market segmentation research. Assist with initiation of new projects and creation of new resources.
Requirements: Preferred applicants should be students currently enrolled in an accredited University studying business administration, technology/IT, international relations, political science, or similar. Opportunities are available for undergraduate and graduate level students. Applicants should possess initiative, be comfortable working independently in a small organization, have strong research skills, and meet deadlines effectively. Previous experience with international on-line initiatives and/or developing country markets is an asset. Excellent computer skills required.
Internship length: flexible. Working days: flexible schedule, part time, approximately 5-10 hours per week.
