About Fundraise Up

Fundraise Up is a rapidly growing fintech scale-up headquartered in Brooklyn, NY that provides online fundraising software to enterprise nonprofits. Fundraise Up's AI-powered platform is leveraged by trusted organizations like UNICEF USA to double their online donation revenue. We have just closed $10M in Series A funding and are sprinting toward a $1–5B valuation within the next few years.

Your Role

As a Nonprofit Success Engineer for enterprise nonprofits, you will onboard and manage the Fundraise Up accounts for the world's largest and most recognizable nonprofits including the American Cancer Society. Your work as a Nonprofit Success Engineer will directly contribute to hundreds of millions of dollars raised to support the impactful work of our customers around the world.

Your primary role will be processing inbound leads, demoing our platform to multiple stakeholders (administration, finance, marketing, etc.), and managing the onboarding process for new customers (it can take up to a year for the largest nonprofits). Deals you open or manage range from $100K in annual revenue to millions of dollars.

You won't be left alone and always work with your body sales rep, marketing folks, and our engineers to get all the help you'll request to successfully onboard your customers.

To succeed, you need to have a proven track record of managing technical projects or be able to demonstrate success as a sales engineer or customer success rep in B2B SaaS at the enterprise level. You should have experience managing at least $1M in revenue and possess strong technical skills. You should be able to understand basic HTML and CSS, be a superuser of complex B2B systems such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge NXT, have a deep understanding of Google Analytics, etc. Basically, we looking for people whose friends and family come with the computer fixes rather than those who ask for help.

Previous startup experience is a big plus. Previous coding experience or degree even bigger plus. By fully understanding your customer's tech stack, fundraising strategies, and opportunities for improvement, you'll deliver greater value for the nonprofit, Fundraise Up, and your book of business.

For every customer in your book of business, you will receive a 2% commission based on the company's revenue out of your customers. Commission payouts are made monthly.

Your Typical Day

1. You start your day by co-leading a discovery call with a teammate from Sales for Wikimedia Foundation using our Neat Board.

2. By mid-morning, you're busy onboarding new customers via Zoom and replying to questions in Front of the nonprofits you already manage. Between calls, you grab a snack from our fully-stocked snack fridge.

3. At noon, you have a call with UNICEF to walk their digital team through mapping data from Fundraise Up to Salesforce.

4. After lunch (it's on us!), you screen share with your contacts at Save the Children to demo the new scheduled exports tool and set up FTP upload.

5. When 3 PM rolls around, you wrap up edits on a 10-page A/B test proposal for the American Cancer Society.

6. By 5 PM, you check in on your deals in HubSpot to make sure prospects are moving through the pipeline and send follow-up emails.

7. Over dinner (and wine), you end your day by drafting an RFP response for Johns Hopkins University and mapping out an implementation timeline.

8. You reach inbox zero, call it a night, and decompress at the in-building gym before heading home.

Your Trajectory

Year 1: You strive to be the MVP of Success. You new deals every day and build your book of business to include $1-2M in revenue. You manage 20-50 customers and invest in building impactful relationships with your nonprofits. Your commission on these accounts adds an additional $20-40K to your annual pay.

Year 2: Building on your first year's successes, you grow to manage $2-5M in company revenue. You now manage 50–150 customers in your book of business and focus on growing your relationships with them. Your annual pay now adds up to $100k in commission.

Year 3: You are an integral part of 10-20 enterprise clients that generate $5-10M revenue for Fundraise Up. You've streamlined your communication strategy with your customers and getting ready for senior management and leadership roles.

Your Goals

Fundraise Up offers a rare and unique opportunity for you to achieve your biggest goals. Do you want to launch your own company? Land a leadership role at Uber or Stripe? Put in the work now and your equity could net you a $500K–2.5M payout, and your success at a scale-up could open doors at the world's largest tech companies. Of course, nothing is guaranteed, but we're pushing for a $1–5B exit by 2023—we'd love for you to be on the team that gets us there.

Fundraise Up provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, or disability.
