Your Role

As a Senior Success Engineer for enterprise nonprofits, you will onboard and manage the Fundraise Up accounts for the world's largest and most recognizable nonprofits. Your work as a Senior Success Engineer will directly contribute to hundreds of millions of dollars raised to support the impactful work of our customers around the world.

Your primary role will be getting to know nonprofits interested in Fundraise Up, demoing our platform to multiple stakeholders (administration, finance, marketing, etc.), managing the onboarding process for new customers, and continuing to work with them going forward via regular check-ins, demonstrating the value they are receiving and guiding feature adoption. Each account you are responsible for will be worth $50-250K+ in annual revenue.

You won't be left alone and always work with your sales rep in the early stages and paired with an Implementation Engineer to work through the complex technical components. Our marketing, tech support, and engineers are all here to help you be successful.

To succeed, you need to have a proven track record of managing client accounts or be able to demonstrate success as a sales engineer or customer success rep in B2B SaaS at the enterprise level. You should have experience managing at least $1M in revenue and possess strong technical skills. You should be able to understand basic HTML and CSS, be comfortable working with CRMs, have a solid understanding of  Google Analytics, etc.

Previous startup experience is a plus. Previous experience working with nonprofits as a client is a must. Previous coding experience or CS degree even bigger plus (you won't write code it would help if you'll know what you're looking at). By fully understanding your customer's tech stack, fundraising strategies, and opportunities for improvement, you'll deliver greater value for the nonprofit, Fundraise Up, and your book of business.

Your Typical Day

1. You start your day by co-leading a discovery call with a teammate from Sales for Wikimedia Foundation.

2. By mid-morning, you're busy onboarding new customers via Zoom and replying to questions in Front of the nonprofits you already manage. Between calls, you grab a snack from our fully-stocked snack fridge.

3. At noon, you have a call with UNICEF to walk their digital team through mapping data from Fundraise Up to Salesforce.

4. After lunch (it's on us!), you screen share with your contacts at Save the Children to demo the new scheduled exports tool and set up FTP upload.

5. When 3 PM rolls around, meet with your Implementation Engineer to review A/B test results and develop a report and presentation for the American Cancer Society.

6. By 5 PM, you check in on your deals in HubSpot to make sure prospects are moving through the pipeline and send follow-up emails.

7. Over dinner (and wine), you end your day by drafting an RFP response for Johns Hopkins University and mapping out an implementation timeline.

8. You reach inbox zero, call it a night, and decompress at the in-building gym before heading home.

Your Trajectory

Year 1: You strive to be the MVP of Success. You make product demos every day and build your book of business to include $1-2M in revenue. You manage 20-50 customers and invest in building impactful relationships with your nonprofits. Your commission on these accounts adds an additional $30-50K to your annual pay.

Year 2: Building on your first year's successes, you grow to manage $2-5M in company revenue and promoted to Enterprise Success Manager. You now manage 50–150 customers in your book of business and focus on growing your relationships with them. Your annual pay now adds up to $100k in commission.

Year 3: You are an integral part of 10-20 enterprise clients that generate $5-10M revenue for Fundraise Up. You are Senior Enterprise Success Manager. You've streamlined your communication strategy with your customers and getting ready for senior management and leadership roles.

Your Equity Value

Fundraise Up offers a rare and unique opportunity for you to achieve your biggest goals. Do you want to launch your own company? Land a leadership role at Uber or Stripe? Put in the work now and your equity could net you a $500K–2.5M payout, and your success at a scale-up could open doors at the world's largest tech companies.
