Position Overview

Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Strategic Growth will serve as a member of the executive team and own the responsibility for new business growth. This person will develop and execute a clearly defined sales, marketing and communications strategy focused on increasing brand awareness, growing the revenue pipeline, closing new business, and maintaining healthy margins. This position is responsible for all aspects of planning, organization, staffing, training, and reporting for sales and marketing.


Drive new business growth:

  • Work with members of the leadership team to create, manage, and execute all sales strategies and corresponding tactical plans that meet or exceed company expectations for new business growth. As part of the process, this person will need to define markets, customer segments, and channels, develop a 1, 2, 3-year sales plan, and test and refine messaging, marketing, and PR channels
  • Build and continually expand a pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Drive new business via direct outreach, prospecting, negotiation, and deal closing; working closely with COO to generate, negotiate, and finalize contracts
  • Build and manage the business development team; this predicated on the ability of this person to drive new business on his/her own as a means of building sales capacity
  • Train and support Associate Team (personnel responsible for service delivery) to upsell to current clients
  • Identify and engage key networks and associations to build awareness and expand professional network; manage Associate Team in this network expansion
  • Oversee communications strategy and execution, including messaging and branding, marketing (including campaign design and deployment), conference participation, and public relations


Education Expertise:

Demonstrable experience and expertise in K-12 education, with an emphasis on issues germane to CT3’s work, including:

  • Classroom management
  • School and district leadership
  • School turnaround
  • Cultural competency
  • Professional development and coaching


10+ years of experience in education sales, with at least three years working specifically in educational institutions in some leadership capacity (e.g., District or School Administration). Must include management experience

Professional Network:

The ability to tap into an existing professional network of educational leaders across the U.S. that have the capacity to make decisions about CT3 services

Sales Accountability: 

Comfortable with accountability for contribution to sales pipeline

CRM experience:

Specific, in-depth knowledge of, including best practices for lead and pipeline management and reporting

Writing and speaking:

Clear, effective communicator comfortable in a variety of settings and formats, from company meetings and management discussions to in-person customer presentations

Track record:

A proven ability to lead a proactive, high performing sales and marketing organization that demonstrably supports company growth


The compensation for this position is intended to reflect both the high caliber of professional that we seek and the responsibility this person will bear in driving growth. We offer a competitive base plus commission structure commensurate with qualifications and experience befitting a leader.
