The Outreach Team is a field firm specializing in face-to-face canvassing operations. We fuel the nation's leading progressive groups to raise money, and impact critical elections.

We are currently seeking Canvass Directors to join us on an important and exciting campaigns. We are hiring for both Lead Canvass Director and Deputy Canvass Director positions.

Canvass Directors will recruit, train, and manage a team of local canvassers to fundraise for progressive causes. Additionally, the Lead Canvass Director will manage a canvassing team with a Deputy Director, and will be responsible for building an office to scale from the ground up.

We are hiring on a rolling basis and for multiple locations.

Canvass Management Responsibilities:

  • Training and managing a team of canvassers. Train staff in skills needed to be successful fundraisers and communicators. Providing ongoing motivation for staff. Ensuring company policies are upheld which includes holding staff accountable to performance, integrity, health, safety and professionalism standards.
  • Canvassing 3-4 days a week, leading by example with fundraising performance by consistently meeting and exceeding goals.
  • Participating in canvasser hiring and onboarding including interviewing and offering candidates, completing welcome calls with new staff before their first day and running new staff orientation. Providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all new staff.
  • Administrative duties, including working with the HR Director on payroll, onboarding and offboarding staff, and compliance.
  • Ensuring our staff, team and outreach efforts are rooted in and shaped by the values of equity and justice. Infusing equity and justice principles into every aspect of the job including but not limited to staff management, recruitment and canvassing.

Qualifications:

Must have

  • Passionate about progressive issues and motivated by social change
  • Trustworthy, professional and reliable

Salary: The salary range for this position is $1000-$1100 per week, plus bonuses. We offer a generous benefits package, including paid vacation and sick leave, health insurance, hands-on training, and opportunities for advancement and bonuses.
