Position Summary

EVALCORP is seeking a full-time Research Associate I to lead data collection, analysis and interpretation components of applied research and evaluation projects. This position plays a key role in ensuring project activities are implemented with integrity and quality, are completed on time and meet client needs. We are looking for someone who has applied research / evaluation experience, is professional, and can manage multiple priorities and deadlines while delivering high-quality work.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in psychology or an applied social science
  • Three or more years of experience conducting applied research and/or evaluation studies
  • Proven expertise in quantitative research methods
  • Highly computer proficient (including Microsoft Office, SPSS, internet)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking, analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and organizational skills a must
  • Valid driver’s license and access to own transportation
  • Preferred: Experience working in or with a non-profit and/or government agency

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participate in client meetings and presentations, including assisting with planning
  • Establish and maintain project datasets, including verification, coding and re-configuring
  • Perform and oversee data collection (including but not limited to observations, interviews, focus groups, surveys, document and literature reviews)
  • Conduct quantitative data analyses (using SPSS) and qualitative data analyses
  • Summarize key data findings in data tables, graphs/charts and written narrative
  • Draft evaluation reports and other product deliverables
  • Assist with the development of applied research / evaluation plans and data collection tools
  • Maintain regular communication with project team on progress, questions and issues
  • Conduct other activities as needed to support projects
