Consultant (Non-Profit Strategy & Management Consulting) *Remote*

Public Equity Group (PEG) seeks a Consultant to work remotely on a part-time basis, up to 32 hours/week, with occasional travel as needed. The Consultant should be an experienced researcher and project manager capable of working across multiple projects.

The position offers recently-completed graduate students and early-career professionals an opportunity to work alongside highly-skilled and experienced professionals in the field of non-profit strategy and management consulting, and network across a wide array of regional and national organizations within diverse fields (health, climate, education and youth development, housing, workforce development, arts, civil and human rights).

Likely work streams include:

• Conducting interviews with community leaders, e.g., government officials, non-profit leaders, researchers
• Capturing and synthesizing highlights from client and internal meetings
• Supporting team and client project management, e.g., work planning, meeting logistics, travel
• Synthesizing data from various sources (e.g., US Census and other government sources (federal, state, local), research reports, etc.) requiring considerable data manipulation using Microsoft Excel
• Developing flawless presentations in Google Slides/Powerpoint (often) and Google Docs/Word (sometimes)
• Presenting data and recommendations to fellow team members (often) and clients (sometimes)

• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills; high comfort with math, logic, and data
• Strong strategic (“big picture”) thinking
• Currently studying or recently completed graduate degree (or equivalent) with considerable coursework in qualitative research, statistics, economics, finance (writing/humanities a plus)
• 1-2+ years of professional or postgraduate research experience; facility with workplace expectations (e.g., timeliness, quality control, etc.)
