WHAT ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a fellow to join our team this fall.  The ideal candidate will be someone eager to learn about PR and able to commit to at least 24 hours a week. Proof Strategies will give you real public relations and marketing experience.   If you're our ideal candidate, you have a strong desire to learn earned media and digital marketing, thrive in a fast-paced agency, and are extremely detail oriented.


Responsibilities:

  • Write blog posts, social media posts, and copy for digital ad campaigns.
  • Assist with media relations, including pitching and media list building.
  • Draft media briefing books and conduct background research for client interviews.
  • Conduct daily media monitoring.
  • Assist with new business, including research, proposal, and pitch preparation.
  • Maintain positive brand sentiment for clients with community management and social channel monitoring. 
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of public relations and marketing communications programs for a variety of clients. 
  • Create and design client visuals, social media graphics, and other imagery.
  • Assist with administrative tasks: team support, project management support, meeting set-up, maintaining documents in the drive, note-taking, media training sessions which include equipment knowledge, set-up and catering coordination. 

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Educated.  Currently pursuing or completed a bachelor’s degree in marketing, PR, journalism, communications, or related field.
  • Experienced. Preferred agency or communications experience.
  • Can-Do-Attitude. Whatever it takes attitude and proven ability to “get the job done.”
  • Articulate. Strong writing skills with the ability to communicate points-of-view succinctly, thoroughly, and convincingly.
  • Innovative.  Creative and strategic thinker.
  • Inquisitive.  You cannot learn unless you ask questions.
  • Friendly.  We like to work with people we like.

  • Pay, Proof Strategies compensates all fellows at Washington, DC’s minimum wage of $16.10/hour.
