Executive Assistant

Our client helps very low-income residents with their heating and cooling bills and makes provisions for emergency heating system services and emergency fuel assistance within their assistance program.

 

As the Executive Assistant, you will play an integral role in keeping the day-to-day operations running smoothly. Your role will give you direct access to experience in Human Resources, Finance + Accounting, and Operations. You’ll join meetings and participate in projects that are only available at a small and growing organization like our client. The Executive Assistant reports to Chief Operating Officer.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Learn aspects of nonprofit administration such as database entry, event management, and facilities and operations.
  • Assist in key elements of nonprofit operations - including development and research, program strategies and third-party collaborations.
  • Pull, organize, and fulfill merchandise orders and event materials at the direction of the Executive Director and/or Chief Operating Officer
  • Maintain office supplies
  • Assist with shipping and mailing tasks
  • Answer phones and greet public when needed

 

Requirements:

  • College coursework towards a Bachelor’s degree (Major in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Hospitality and Tourism, or equivalent).
  • Ability to relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies and audiences.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written skills required.
  • Knowledge of office systems: MS-Office preferred
  • Team player committed to developing and working within a collaborative environment and to ensuring the highest customer service orientation.
