Finally, you are a tech savvy professional who is experienced in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, cloud file sharing, video conferencing services such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet, and is able to learn other forms of technology and online software quickly. In other words, you are a rockstar!


What You Will Do At Epiphany Blue: 

The Events & Programs Facilitator works with youth and adult populations to provide events, workshops, and training focused on personal and professional growth and development. Epiphany Blue’s Teen Blue youth programming provides students with developing their personal image and brand, career and college exploration and readiness, social and professional etiquette, development of soft skills, social/emotional competencies, leadership building, and civic engagement. Epiphany Blue’s adult programming is focused on personal and professional development, wellness, and team building. 

In addition to providing direct services, the Events & Programs Facilitator will serve as an Epiphany Blue point of contact at assigned client sites. 


Below is an overview of the essential job functions of an Events & Programs Facilitator at Epiphany Blue.

  • Facilitate the planning, coordination, and on-site execution of events, projects, initiatives, curricula and activities for youth and adult participants (“direct service”). This is inclusive of the following:

- Workshops/training

- Projects and presentations

- Program-related events 

- Community service endeavors

- Outings/field trip exposures/tours

- Procurement of guest speakers and expert facilitators 

- Recruitment and retention of participants 

  • Prepare lesson/activity plans for each workshop session or event. 
  • Gather, record, create, and maintain enrollment forms, attendance records, monthly attendance reports, monthly program update reports, and other program-related paperwork and reports. Enter enrollment and attendance data into company’s data management program.
  • Foster relationships with school/site administrators and teaching staff. This includes spending time at sites to meet with teachers/administrators and execute recruitment and retention strategies. 
  • Identify and secure speakers, partnerships, and other resources to enhance direct services.
  • Work with team members to develop and complete required reports, including but not limited to: 

- Weekly work progress reports

- Mid-year and end-year program assessments and reports 

- Accident reports

- Safety procedures 

  • Participate in staff and client meetings and staff professional development trainings. 


What Are The Qualifications of a Dynamic Events & Programs Facilitator? 

  • Candidates must have a current background check and fingerprinting conducted by the New York City Department of Education to be hired for this position.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) 
  • A minimum of two years of work experience in related field 
  • Engaging, energetic, and creative
  • Strong youth development and classroom management skills 
  • Ability to create and deliver interactive and educational lesson plans with a project-based focus
  • Strong organization and administrative skills 
  • Detail-oriented 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Team player and quick learner who focuses on high productivity and results 
  • Professional, friendly, and enthusiastic 
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude who can anticipate needs 
  • Excellent computer skills and a high level of computer literacy 
  • Proficient in Apple and/or Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, G-Suite, cloud file sharing and Social Media platforms
  • Event planning knowledge and skills are a plus
  • Must be willing to commute to program and event sites in areas that may include New York City and surrounding regions, and Northern New Jersey
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends, as needed
