Strategic Impact Advisors, LLC (SIA) is a woman-owned global consulting firm launched in 2014 with a mission to provide insightful technical assistance to help people overcome barriers and improve their lives through technology and analysis. SIA works with clients that seek strategic approaches, innovative business models, and deep insights for using digital technologies and cutting-edge data solutions to solve complex development challenges. With offices in Washington, D.C. and Accra, SIA is comprised of four full-time partners and three full-time staff as well as a number of associate consultants.


Scope of Work:

SIA seeks a part-time communications assistant to work up to 8 hours per week leading efforts to raise awareness about the company’s services and past performance through digital communication. This role will entail assisting with knowledge management, strategic communications and brand development/management. Specifically, the assistant will manage day-to-day communications, with an emphasis on social media, keeping the website current with new projects and updates, and ensuring new content is posted regularly on the blog. The assistant will also work with the team to review and hone the company’s current brand and develop recommendations for improvement. The position is based at the company’s coworking space in Washington, D.C.


Key Responsibilities and Tasks Expected:

·      Assist in maintaining web content and executing social media strategies

·      Draft communications copy including social media posts

·      Manage blog editorial calendar to ensure new content is posted regularly

·      Develop and execute company brand strategy


Required Qualifications and Experience:

·      Work experience in communications, knowledge management, and/or branding

·      Understanding of social media strategy and analytics

·      Experience building or maintain websites with Square Space

·      Strong writing skills, accuracy and attention to detail

·      Ability to work on tasks independently with efficiency

·      Knowledge of and/or interest in international development, social impact and social business topics a plus
