Why work for 3Si?

3Si is a mission-driven consulting firm headquartered in Seattle, WA. We help our clients-primarily non-governmental organizations, philanthropies, and government-use data and information to make better decisions and create positive change. We serve the child welfare, education, community building, environment, health, transportation, and workforce development sectors. We provide:

  • Data systems and organizational solutions
  • Research and analytics
  • Facilitation and stakeholder engagement
  • Planning and program evaluation

We seek a Consulting & Analytics Manager who is mission driven, has exceptional project management, analytical, and quantitative problem-solving skills, and demonstrates leadership abilities in a team environment. This position will manage client deliverables and help drive the growth of our consulting practice, lead consulting teams, influence the direction of the firm in developing our brand and positioning in the marketplace, and support work for a range of clients.

Qualified candidates will be deeply knowledgeable of consulting tools, methods, and practices (quantitative and qualitative); be comfortable with and adept at modeling, analyzing, synthesizing, and presenting data and information; have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written); and be able to efficiently and effectively manage clients, teams, and complex projects and deliver professional results to clients on time and on budget.

We are hiring for at least two roles to help grow our project teams and will consider promising candidates that may be suited to another position. Any offer made to a qualified candidate will be for the position/title and salary tier within the noted range that is most closely aligned to the candidate’s experience and expertise.

This position is currently remote due to the ongoing pandemic. However, we are planning to return to the office in some hybrid fashion sometime this year.

Any candidate being offered a position must either be in Washington state (within a reasonable commute to downtown Seattle) or in the Portland, OR area before their start of employment with 3Si.

Diversity and Inclusion

3Si is committed to building diverse teams where people of all identities and backgrounds are welcome, included, and respected. Social equity is a key premise of 3Si's work and we aspire to reflect that value in the composition of our team. We strongly encourage women, gender diverse candidates, and candidates who identify as a minority to apply for this position.

As an Analytics and Consulting Manager, responsibilities will include:

  • Provide leadership and manage teams and individuals to develop and produce error-free work products for large and complex projects.
  • Lead, contribute to, and manage the production of professional, thorough, rigorous, and insightful analyses and strategic outputs (particularly in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and/or Tableau).
  • Guide and engage clients by developing data driven, inclusive strategies and analyses.
  • Secure clients’ buy-in to formulate and implement solutions that positively impact client work, services, and the populations our clients serve.
  • Prepare and lead formal and informal presentations to diverse audiences -- from policy makers and funders to parents and advocates.
  • Manage, design, build, and maintain flexible data models from various sources.
  • Assume responsibility for overseeing data-quality and validating the results of datasets. Recommend and implement process and performance improvements related to 3Si outputs and data. Analyze, synthesize, and communicate complex data-related issues clearly and succinctly to both internal colleagues and external clients.
  • Contribute to the professional growth of the 3SI team through effective mentoring of team members.
  • Contribute materially to the firm’s reputation and business development efforts; help Principals with new client acquisition through networking and relationships; contribute to the development of request for proposals and/or qualifications (RFP or RFQ); build strategic partnerships and represent the firm at appropriate meetings and conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree plus at least 3 years of experience required in a consulting or market research position (with a strong preference for client-facing consulting experience).
  • Experience in education-related initiatives preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required in leading successful projects and teams.
  • Strong consultative and project management skills and ability to work efficiently and effectively both autonomously and in small teams in a highly fluid, fast-paced work environment.
  • Significant competency in data analysis, modeling, synthesizing, and presenting quantitative analysis and data in a variety of formats and tools like PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, plus familiarity with at least one specialized quantitative tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Stata, SPSS, SAS, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Demonstrated commitment to 3Si’s core mission and values in serving our philanthropic, not-for-profit, and government clients and the diverse populations and communities they serve.
  • Self-motivator who works hard and also has the capacity to not take oneself too seriously and have fun!
