Position Summary


Orr Group is seeking a results-driven Human Resources professional to join our team with responsibility for outsourced HR services for Orr Group’s non-profit clients with a keen eye toward talent strategy.

The Senior Associate Director, Human Resources will serve as the day-today contact/HR professional for Orr Group Clients, supporting, overseeing and/or advising on human resource and talent management functions, strategies and goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

·      Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs

·      Administer or oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development

·      Execute Orr Group’s Hiring Support service line, partnering with client HR teams and hiring manager to leverage applicant pools to fill open roles

·      Identify staffing needs; develop and implement best practices for talent management

·      Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system

·      Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance

·      Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law, applying this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management

Coordinate processes to provide constructive and timely performance evaluations

Education and Experience

 ·      Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred

·      At least five years of human resource management experience required.

·      SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is advantageous

 Skills and Certifications

 ·      Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

·      High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

·      Strong organizational skills

·      Working knowledge of the nonprofit sector

·      Highly proficient in MS Office products

·      Strong focus on customer service quality and teamwork

·      Analytical capability to evaluate information and data

·      High energy and comfort working in a fast-paced environment

·      Strong time/project management and organization skills and the ability to remain flexible and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment

·      Flexibility to work long and varying hours (when needed) to meet fixed deadlines

·      Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

·      Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS and talent management systems.
