Description: BRS, Inc. is seeking an environmental technical person for a part-time or full-time position. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing woman-owned firm, with flexible hours and the opportunity to work from home independently. The candidate ideally lives in the greater New Jersey / Philadelphia area.

Responsibilities: Project management; contractor management / administration on projects related to the evaluation and remediation of brownfield sites; conducting assessment activities; data evaluation; report preparation; development of remediation strategies; proposal and cost estimates preparation; preparation of RFPs and public bid specifications; community outreach; budget management; and conducting other support functions as needed.

Qualifications: The ideal applicant will be able to work independently and will have experience in contractor management, brownfield financing and project management, environmental investigation/remediation, and community development. The ideal applicant will be able to provide significant contributions in multi-disciplined team approach to establishing site redevelopment strategies that fulfill acquisition, funding and strategic planning needs and considerations for our public sector clientele. An understanding and knowledge of technical regulations, GIS, AutoCad, USEPA brownfields program, and public sector program management experience are desired.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in environmental studies, engineering, construction management or a related field is required. The candidates should possess at least five years of professional experience and New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP). Very strong written and verbal skills are required. Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to report to work on job sites in region.
