About Mariana Strategies LLC

Mariana Strategies is a consultancy that works with businesses to ensure their workplaces are inclusive, safe, and harassment free. In late 2017 the words “Me Too” were reverberating around the world and the experience of sexual harassment in the workplace was being discussed seemingly everywhere. Our laws hadn’t changed, but in that moment, our culture had. A purely legal approach to preventing workplace harassment had failed, and businesses were struggling to find a more robust way to prevent harassment. At that moment, Mariana Strategies was born. Since then, we have been working with businesses building systems of accountability, leadership commitment, and culture change - on all aspects of equity and inclusion in the workplace.

What You’ll Do

We are looking for a Consultant to deliver services to our clients. The Consultant, with guidance from the CEO, will work with clients to assess the state of diversity, equity, and inclusion needs, and work with them to build a vision, commitment, and set of priorities on diversity, equity, and inclusion at their organization. You will identify and negotiate schedules, milestones, and resources required to meet project objectives.

The Consultant will facilitate discussions on a variety of topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, including emotional intelligence, harassment prevention, psychological safety in the workplace, bystander intervention, and building inclusive culture, with a goal of helping clients create workplaces that are equitable and inclusive, and accountable for meeting these goals. You will have the opportunity to engage in special projects as they come up.

About You

The right candidate is a combination of the following:

  • 2+ years experience as a Management Consultant or another relevant role
  • An excellent communicator, in writing, conversation, and power point presentations
  • Anticipate problems and solutions
  • Empathetic and curious
  • A self-starter and problem solver
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to be flexible and creative when faced with competing priorities
  • An engaging and thoughtful facilitator of workshops
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Effectively deliver projects on-time, on-budget within the scope that meets or exceeds stakeholder expectations
  • Demonstrated experience in project management of extensive multi-phase projects
  • Impeccable organizational skills
  • Strong working knowledge of business management recommended practices
  • Strong working knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion recommended practices
  • Aptitude for analytical and creative thinking
  • Experience with client proposals, and have business development skills
  • PMP a plus

We’re seeking a thoughtful team member who knows first-hand what it takes to build an inclusive culture and who can convey that knowledge to others. Because our clients and their teams come from a wide range of backgrounds, candidates also need to be able to thoughtfully navigate issues related to race, identity, and equity, and bring a deep commitment to advancing the values of equity and inclusion.
