Fairmount Ventures (Fairmount) was retained by the Philadelphia Holocaust Remembrance Foundation (PHRF) to support PHRF’s capital campaign for the newly redeveloped Philadelphia Holocaust Memorial Plaza (philaholocaustmemorial.org). Under this contract, Fairmount’s assigned team for PHRF functions as its full-scale staff, supporting PHRF with fundraising, project management, vendor relationship management, educational program planning, and other services. The contract is in effect till April 2019. The new Holocaust Memorial Plaza (Plaza) will open to the public in Fall 2018.
Fairmount is adding a part-time Project Coordinator to its project team for PHRF. This position supports a full range of tasks with a primary focus on coordinating and implementing various aspects of PHRF’s capital campaign. The position is ideal for an experienced and intellectually curious individual that understands the nuance of and enjoys large-scale project management and has the capacity to manage competing priorities in a very fast-paced environment. S/he is energized by complex questions and being part of a multi-disciplinary, diverse team, excellent at 360 communication, and capable of both strategic thinking and maintaining a high volume of tactical data.
COORDINATE & MANAGE – Balance a diverse portfolio of tasks described below; implement project management processes, including work plans, tracking work activities and proactively reporting to senior team members. Provide additional administrative and clerical support as necessary, including scheduling and meeting preparations.
WRITE – Draft communications in many different styles and voices on behalf of PHRF. Products include project-related marketing collaterals, donor specific communication pieces, grant reports, updates to client based on team research and analysis, scripts, notes, talking points, and presentations.
RESEARCH, ANALYZE & TRACK– Analyze and track donor data and gifts; conduct basic research on funders and donors.
- At least 3 years’ direct experience in large-scale project coordination and management is a must. Experience with a capital campaigns and/or some exposure to the non-profit sector is a plus.
- Superior writing skills; excellent research, analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to translate abstract concepts into cogent written products is necessary.
- Facility and comfort with quantitative data and information is a must.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- At least intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office suite required, fluency with Excel and Word is a must.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience in the range of $25 per hour. Volume of work will be determined on a monthly basis in the range of 20 to 30 hours per week.
