Description

National arts and culture consulting firm specializing in work with nonprofit organizations and government agencies in the areas of arts/culture, education, and social service seeks an office associate to carry out a range of tasks including:

  • Manuscript editing (proposals, reports, research articles)
  • Web and library research
  • Project management (calendar, appointments, digital archiving)
  • Data collection (data entry, management, and analysis)
  • Social media presence
  • Graphic design: layout, template design, PowerPoint, and basic web-design
  • Research and writing underlying proposals and reports
  • General office administration and support


Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Qualitative data analysis
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work on multiple projects effectively
  • Willingness to experiment and learn new technologies
  • Attention to detail


This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in working in the nonprofit sector, especially with cultural institutions. While an entry level position, the work provides exposure to fundamental and innovative processes and strategies used in research and consulting. There is also the possibility for authoring and publishing, together with attending conferences, symposia, and educational events related to the field.
