Description of the role:

The Marketing Coordinator will be key to amplifying our firm's voice and visibility far and wide! This is an exciting opportunity for someone with both the creativity to come up with ideas, as well as the attention to detail and technical savvy to execute them.

As a member of the Advancement Department, you will support and work closely with the Managing Director of Advancement to execute sales campaigns and keep the overall marketing strategy on track. You will have independent responsibility to coordinate marketing plans and budgets, integrate the involvement of vendors and other staff in marketing, craft content, design materials and presentations, manage the website and social media accounts, and plan speaking engagements and marketing events.

Experience we desire:

An exceptional candidate will match to all of these desired elements of experience; if you believe your experience mostly aligns, and you match the requirements, you may be a good fit and we encourage you to make the case for your candidacy. Our team members come to Grants Plus with varied backgrounds, but share a common commitment to the nonprofit and philanthropic sector, to one another, and to our firm’s success.

  • A way with words and the confidence and skill to write, edit, and lay out content, especially for marketing purposes. You will be asked to provide samples of your written work.
  • Adeptness at using tools and technology and a knack (and zest) for manipulating, managing, and interpreting information and data.
  • An eye for designing materials, graphics, PowerPoint presentations, and webpages. We will be excited to see examples of your creations.
  • A proactive, can-do, let's-get-things-done attitude. You excel in a fast-paced environment with lots of moving pieces and parts. You don't shy away from holding colleagues accountable when you need to! And you put a high priority on seeing deadlines through. You thrive on hard work, are driven to achieve, and seek to smile and have fun in the process.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising and experience in grant seeking is a big plus! You'll need to put yourself in the shoes of a nonprofit leader so you can hone the messages and strategies that will get their attention.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a marketing role in a nonprofit or for-profit environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a role with responsibility for managing plans and processes.
  • Experience using technology tools and software; familiarity with Pardot, Salesforce, WordPress, Canva, and Google Analytics is highly preferred.
  • Mastery of language that is both creative and precise.
  • An eagerness to positively contribute to our company culture and values, including to our commitment to being an anti-racist firm that strives towards building and maintaining greater diversity, equity, and inclusion within Grants Plus, the grant seeking and fundraising profession, and the nonprofit consulting sector.
