Community Ambassador Manager

Our client helps very low-income residents with their heating and cooling bills and makes provisions for emergency heating system services and emergency fuel assistance within their assistance program.

 

As the Community Ambassador Manager, you will be responsible to oversee the daily operations of Community Ambassador team. This person is a leader and manages staff, communicates clear expectations to other employees, ensures the team is meeting target production goals, resolves problems and meets Foundation strategic goals. You will also be the direct line of communication between Foundation senior staff and the efforts of the production team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the intake process of applications related to LIHEAP/USF applicants from start to finish.
  • Manages a team of Community Ambassadors and Client Service Representatives who work locally and remotely.
  • Ability to explain and talk about the Foundation’s core services, History and Program to originate leads.
  • Identifies, pursues, cultivates, and enhances relationships with foundations, nonprofits, and government agencies in support of Foundation programs.
  • Accomplishes customer service human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, training, and coaching employees.
  • Works in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations that apply to the LIHEAP/USF.
  • Analyzes variance and initiates corrective actions.

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED a must.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Business, Organizational Development, or a relevant field is preferred.

 

Experience

  • 3-5+ years working for a nonprofit organization, call center, public relations, marketing, sales, communication or similar.
  • Previous experience handling clients or in a client facing role is highly preferred.

 

Technology

  • Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to learn Salesforce (CRM) or previous experience in Salesforce is a plus.

 

Travel

  • 10% to team location site or strategic client meetings.
