Donorly seeks a Grant-Writer to join our growing team in support of our nonprofit clients.

*Applicants with experience in Climate Change Advocacy and/or Performing arts will be prioritized!

We strive for a transparent equity-based salary calculation for all of our employees. The salary for this position is $45,000-$55,000 for NYC residents, with adjustments based on experience, client and team responsibilities, and leadership within the field. Please note that for applications outside of NYC, there is an adjustment for geographic cost of living.

Donorly is a partially remote workplace. Candidates living outside NYC are welcome to apply.

Donorly is a partially distributed/remote/virtual workplace. Team members work virtually from across the United States. We are headquartered in New York City.

QUALITIES, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate for the Grant Writer position is a collaborative, team-oriented individual with:

  • Nonprofit fundraising and grant writing experience
  • Familiarity with standard donor research tools
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • A keen eye for detail, including editing and proofreading abilities
  • Great presentation skills
  • Market knowledge
  • Technical Documentation skills
  • Client-Oriented mindset
  • A motivated, can-do spirit!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research funding opportunities for our clients.
  • Assisting clients with gathering documentation and fulfill requirements of different organizations to seek funding.
  • Creating proposals by assembling information such as, nature of the project, objectives, implementation and methods
  • Write, revise, and edit letters to properly appeal to funding bodies

All full-time Donorly team members engage with our anti-racism commitment via participation in working groups, trainings, and retreats.

Some evenings and weekend hours may be required, usually with ample advance notice.
