    Description

    We are seeking an Immigration Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience handling family-based immigration matters. We provide direct legal services to members of the hospitality union, UNITE HERE Local 11. The ideal candidate will be able to manage a caseload consisting of, but not limited to, family petitions, adjustment of status, consular processing, naturalization, and waivers. Experience with asylum cases is a plus. Strong oral and written Spanish language fluency is required given that the position requires frequent communication with monolingual Spanish-speaking clients. Recent graduates with a demonstrated commitment to immigration law will be considered. The candidate must be willing to travel to Orange County and Phoenix, AZ periodically to meet with clients, attend hearings, conduct outreach, and represent the firm as needed. The position requires a minimum of two (2) days per week in office.

    Requirements:

    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
    • Admission to California or Arizona bar at the time of applying
    • 1-3 years of experience in family-based immigration law
    • Strong fluency in Spanish, with excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
